Hologram Partners with Curiosum
Hologram's journey just took a significant leap forward: Curiosum is coming on board as the Main Sponsor, and I'm joining their team to work on Hologram full-time.
What This Partnership Means
This partnership (together with the recent support from the Erlang Ecosystem Foundation) allows me to dedicate myself entirely to Hologram - developing and maintaining the framework, building new features, fixing bugs, supporting the community, and growing the ecosystem. It's the kind of focused, sustained effort that a project with Hologram's scope needs to reach its full potential.
More Than Just Sponsorship
What makes this partnership particularly valuable goes beyond financial support. Curiosum brings something equally important to the table: real-world production insight.
As an established Elixir software development company, Curiosum works with clients across various industries and use cases. Through this partnership, I get firsthand insight into the real challenges that Elixir teams and production applications face - and that Hologram needs to solve. Curiosum isn't just sponsoring the project - they're serving as a business and adoption advisor, helping shape Hologram's roadmap based on actual market needs.
This feedback loop between framework development and production requirements is invaluable. It ensures that Hologram evolves in directions that matter to real developers building real applications.
Importantly, I retain full control over Hologram's direction, roadmap, and priorities - something Curiosum fully supports. Their role is to advise and provide insight, while the final decisions remain mine.
Thank You
I want to extend my deepest gratitude to Curiosum's founders - Szymon Soppa and MichaĆ Buszkiewicz - who believed in Hologram's vision and went all in. This level of trust and commitment doesn't happen often, and I'm incredibly grateful for it.
A Strong Foundation
Hologram now has two major supporters, each bringing something unique:
- Curiosum as the Main Sponsor - ongoing sponsorship, plus business insight and adoption guidance
- Erlang Ecosystem Foundation - milestone-based stipend, community leadership, and ecosystem integration
Combined with the ongoing support from GitHub sponsors, Hologram has a strong foundation to build on.
Full Speed Ahead
Users can expect development to accelerate, with new features coming soon as we work toward the Hologram vision: pure Elixir end-to-end, running everywhere.
Imagine building web, mobile, and desktop applications from a single codebase, using the same UI components, with local-first capabilities - and yes, Elixir running directly in your browser. That future is getting closer.
Great times ahead.
