Package Naming

When publishing a Hologram-related package, keep in mind the following reserved names. This helps the community distinguish official packages from community-maintained ones.

Reserved Package Name Prefix: hologram_

Hex package names starting with hologram_ are reserved for official Hologram packages and extensions.

Reserved Module Namespace: Hologram.

The Hologram.* module namespace is reserved for the Hologram framework and official extensions.

Reserved Names in Other Registries

In other registries and marketplaces, such as npm, editor extension marketplaces and browser extension stores, the ID hologram (where it's still free), IDs starting with hologram- or hologram_, and display names starting with "Hologram" are reserved for official Hologram tooling.

Product Names

Commercial products and services shouldn't use names that suggest they're official or endorsed by Hologram, such as "Hologram" followed by a generic word. If in doubt, contact Bart.
