Hologram Awarded EEF Stipend for Development Milestones
I have some great news to share: the Erlang Ecosystem Foundation (EEF) has granted a stipend to support key development milestones that will bring new capabilities to Hologram.
About the Erlang Ecosystem Foundation
The Erlang Ecosystem Foundation is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization dedicated to supporting the next generation of advanced, reliable, real-time applications built on BEAM technology. With over 1,000 members collaborating across 13 specialized working groups, the EEF plays a crucial role in advancing the Erlang and Elixir ecosystems. You can join the foundation.
The foundation's mission centers on:
- Ecosystem Growth - Supporting open-source projects and tools that strengthen the BEAM community
- Education & Adoption - Consolidating learning materials and making BEAM technologies more accessible
- Interoperability - Fostering collaboration between Erlang, Elixir, LFE, and other BEAM languages
- Community Building - Providing financial support through stipend programs and managing sponsorships
- Technical Innovation - Operating working groups focused on critical areas including observability, security, embedded systems, machine learning, and more
What This Means for Hologram
The stipend will support specific development milestones that will bring new capabilities and enhancements to Hologram. With the EEF's support, Hologram can maintain its development momentum while ensuring that each milestone delivers meaningful value to developers building real-world applications. The milestone-based structure provides accountability and ensures that progress is measurable and transparent.
This support also integrates Hologram more deeply into the broader Erlang and Elixir ecosystem, connecting the project with the community of developers, organizations, and industry leaders who are advancing state-of-the-art real-time, reliable applications.
I'm deeply grateful to the Erlang Ecosystem Foundation for their support of the project vision.
